Arbitrators

Arbitrators are a constituted body of persons granted with power and authority to uphold the law, prevent crime and civil unrest, ensure public safety, and settle disputes. They function like police, however, in an attempt to distance themselves from an abusive past during the "Half Century of Hunger," the Republic appointed arbitrators with stronger exoskeletons but more weapons restrictions to prevent lawless brutality

In recent years, however, arbitrators are tasked with escorting rogue psychics to detention centers, or in extreme cases: termination. The Central Dain Arbitrator Department (CDAD), located in the city of Dain on New Earth, houses the largest psychic detention center in the Republic.

City of Dain

Dain, the capital of the Republic and New Earth, was established in 2105 shortly after the Gerumandian victory against the Waions in the Battle for New Earth. It houses the four elite Academies named after the four council members: Gerumandian, Luken, Haven, and Irkurian. The city is divided into 13 sectors spanning a total of 5,000 square miles.

With some of the most impressive sky-rises in the Republic, Dain is known for its high civilization, cosmopolitan culture, political power, fine arts, and enormous wealth most prominently in the upper city districts. Its population of around 2.5 billion makes it the galaxy’s largest city and a trade empire, drawing merchants from all the core worlds.
